Geography:Bakerganj is located at 22.5500°N 90.3389°E . It has 63177 units of house hold and total area 417.2 km².
Demographics:As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Bakerganj has a population of 336706. Males constitute are 49.64% of the population, and females 50.36%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 165226. Bakerganj has an average literacy rate of 47.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
