Geography:Amtali is located at 22.1294°N 90.2289°E. It has 45804 households and a total area of 720.76 km².
Demographics:As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Amtali has a population of 244438. Males constitute 50.39% of the population, and females 49.61%. This Upazila's adult (aged 18 and over) population is 119889. Amtali has an average literacy rate of 33.9% (7+ years); the national literacy average is 62.4%.[1]
Administrative:Amtali has 02 Police Station(Amtoli & Taltoli)10 Unions/Wards, 66 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 186 villages.
