Geography:Akhaura is located at 23.8833°N 91.2166°E . It has 18783 units of house hold and total area 99.28 km².
Demographics:As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Akhaura has a population of 112982. Males constitute are 51.45% of the population, and females 48.55%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 53633. Akhaura has an average literacy rate of 31.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
